It's always confusing when a band names themselves after a person who isn't in the band. The Jimi Hendrix Experience makes sense. So does Celine Dion. But who is Jonny? Apparently it's two Scotsmen Norman Blake and Euros Childs from Teenage Fanclub & Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, respectively. They've created a retro album that harkens back to the AOR days of Bread, The Byrds, and (more obscurely) the band Country. It's a pleasant and breezy surprise.
Buy this record if you want to floss your teeth but not brush them.
